A nostalgic stained glass suncatcher featuring a Victorian girl skating through a winter scene. Handcrafted with antique -style charm, this piece adds warmth and elegance to any window- perfect as a seasonal gift or vintage-inspired decor.
Back in the 1600s to 1800s, the Thames freezing over was a common sight. Indeed, traders would set up on the ice and sell souvenirs in what was known as a Frost Fair, such as a personalised ticket, or a silver spoon engraved with the date of a visit.
The final fair took place in 1814, and here we see a young girl skating on the ice. Resplendent in her fur-lined coat and muffs. My lovingly made from hand-rolled glass and copperfoil, will bring the spirit of Christmas to your home.
